Introduction
The World Rally Championship is Ford of Europe's primary motor sport activity. The BP-Ford World Rally Team has a driving team that mixes experience with a young approach. The experience comes from double world champions Marcus Grönholm and Timo Rautiainen while the young approach is provided by fellow Finns Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen. In 2006, the BP-Ford World Rally Team excitingly claimed the Manufacturers' Title becoming FIA WRC World Rally Champions.

M-Sport
The program is operated on Ford's behalf by long-term partner M-Sport, the home of the Blue Oval's international rally projects. The BP-Ford World Rally Team is based at M-Sport's Dovenby Hall premises in north-west England. It is here that the all-new 2007 specification Focus RS WRC - based on the highly successful Focus ST road car - was developed.

World Rally Championship
The FIA World Rally Championship comprises 16 rallies across five continents spanning 12 months. Each three-day rally covers up to 1200km, with 350km of flat-out driving on roads, ranging from smooth asphalt to snow and ice, and rutted boulder-strewn tracks.
